“I don’t feel like myself anymore. I’m tired all the time, even when I rest. I don’t know why I can’t seem to get going.”
“Nothing feels very meaningful right now. I’m doing what I need to do, but it feels disconnected from how I actually feel inside.”
“Part of me wants things to change, but another part of me just feels stuck.”
A Pattern of Lows
Depression doesn’t always look like complete withdrawal or inability to function. It can also show up as a quiet disconnection from yourself—feeling flat, unmotivated, or emotionally distant from your life, even when things on the surface appear “fine.”
There may be a sense of going through the motions while feeling internally slowed down, depleted, or detached. Over time, this can start to affect how you see yourself, often bringing thoughts like: “I should be able to handle this. Why is this so hard for me?”
Depression can also carry a more internalized layer—where there is ongoing self-criticism, guilt, or a sense of falling behind in life. Even when you’re trying your best, it may not feel like enough. And the gap between how you think things should feel and how they actually feel can become painful in itself. People often describe feeling isolated in this experience, even when surrounded by others, as if something private and difficult is happening internally that is hard to explain.
How I Work
In our work together, we begin by slowing things down enough to understand what this experience looks like in your life—not just as a label, but as a lived pattern. We look at how your energy, emotions, and sense of self have shifted, and what may be contributing to that shift over time. Rather than focusing only on “fixing” symptoms, we pay attention to the internal world—how you relate to yourself, how meaning is experienced or lost, and what feels disconnected or weighed down.
My approach is relational and depth-oriented. I pay close attention not only to what you are experiencing, but to how you experience yourself within it. Together, we begin to make sense of patterns that may feel stuck or hard to move through alone.
We work at a pace that is steady and manageable, with an emphasis on understanding rather than pressure to perform or change quickly. The goal is not to force yourself back into who you were—but to gradually reconnect with a more alive, present, and vibrant sense of self.
I’d love to talk about whatever it is that’s weighing you down.
